Perhaps it is time for us to band together and form an organization to protect our rights the way the NRA and SEMA do for gun owners and auto enthusiasts, respectively. I personally am no good at starting organizations, but I would pay dues to support the cause.

An interesting side note: My girlfriend and I were almost attacked by a pack of dogs today. I don't just mean alot of barking, I mean these dogs acted like they had rabies and were tearing through their fence. We made it past them and got to the top of the hill and were about to make a loop back to our house when we were confronted by a doberman and a rottweiler who were NOT fenced in. So we were caught between those two and the mongrels behind us. We went back the other way and made it past the other dogs again before they could get through the fence. I have never seen dogs this violent before, including once when I actually was attacked.
So, the question is: do you think if we would have been attacked by a half dozen mutts that anyone would have made a move to ban the ownership of dogs? Of course not. Dogs are mainstream. They're mans best friend. And snakes are the devil!
We're fighting the forces of ignorance.
