Heat source

I was wondering what type of heat source would be best for ball pythons? I have heard heat mats, flexwatt, lights, ceramic heat emmiters, ect. I have some of the under tank heaters but want to make sure I am using what is best for my ball pythons. Any advise would be greatly appriciated.
