I have read about IMG(Increased Melanin Gene) ball pythons but is there a RMG(Reduced Melanin Gene)?

This ball python, which I have nicknamed "Infinity" due to the infinity symbol pattern she has dorsally, appears to be doing the opposite. At first glance she appears to have a look of retained shedding but on closer inspection she appears to be "fading" (for lack of a better description) as she ages. But it isn't uniform. It is heavier ventrally where the light pattern has almost turned a yellowish bone color, and speradically throughout the dorsal part of the body. In addition to the light "fading" the dark is as well. The ventral scales are "piebald marked" too.

It's owner said that it was bought as a hatchling "normal looking" and has developed this with age.

It is hard to capture it on film but hopefully these will help.

Any thoughts?

Thank you
