The problem is well known in the established herping community. But what about the people with more casual interest who are at this time unaware? They are a vast resource that can turn this dark tide.



The upcoming NARBC show will be an excellent opportunity to notify the general public as they come in. It would make some impact if each table put together something on their own with their personal concerns about this ban and some contact info so that those people just finding out about this attack on our hobby can lend us some voice. They should also consider putting that info up on any web page they host.



Also, it would be expected for any pet store that sells herps or herp related wares to have an interest in avoiding this legislation. They should not only lend a voice but post a notice by the herp displays.



Next would be media, it has been a hard sell in the past to get a lick of help from the established media. But by all means we should keep trying.



We should all be very very afraid of this type of legislation even if we do not keep animals in personal collections. You should not feel safe because this time you were not impacted.
