...in response to a post lower down, but thought it might not get read by everyone, so I wanted to post it separately...it appears that the SFWMD submitted their petition prior to Florida passing the laws aimed at solving the problem of burmese pythons. Since laws have been passed since the submittal, would it be possible for them to retract the petition? As anyone thought about contacting them to ask if they would? If they did, would this change anything now? ----- -David
