For those of you that might recall, I have a female bloodred I bought from a show about 5 months ago. I'll skip the long story but I had my rack temps to high vs a illness debate.
I was all set to tube feed her as she was keeping nothing down. My brother in lw got me a ton of stuff to make various feeders. Last we I had found a small bag of pinkies that I brought home from the show the week before. I was amazed they were still alive. I popped 1 in each of the small corns cages. Then had one more. It was 2am, I said WTF, I tossed it inthe 30" $175 feamle bloodred that is driving me nuts. The feeding was 2-3-08 2am. No regurge! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I even went back at 4am ish to to pull the pinky afte rthinking about it. To late it was gone. I guess a good thing.
Along the way I was also giving her gatorade, as I know it really helps turtles. Now I just hope she keep on the trend of keeping food down. At 30" or so, a pinky is not even a meal, but she is so think anything is great at this point. ----- Thanks for reading.
