Its been a long time since I've kept chameleons (over 12 years) and I know lots has changed since then. When I kept them, crickets & hibiscus were the diet of choice. Hibiscus were always half dead b/c the plant growth could not keep up with the chams feeding on them. Plus, I absolutely HATE dealing with crickets and was wondering if anyone feeds their chameleons gut-loaded superworms in place of crickets? If so, how receptive are the chams to superworms? And finally, what vegetation alternatives are there (for instance, is there a method to feeding chams salad greens vs. growing plants?)? | ||
