The original het that I bought as a pair has a pretty defined "V" shaped snout band, as well as some other characteristics, and so do some of the offspring I produced with the pair, I knew that's what you meant when you asked what ssp. it was.

Here is a pic of the original het female I got along with the anery. She has a VERY stuarti looking snout band, as well as the faded coloration, etc... Heck, I could probably sell her and some of the offspring as stuarti actually, but some look more hondurensis too, as would be expected for an intergrade of the two.

Like you, this is what I've also thought for many years. I think this is indeed the case here.
