Any of you guys catch milks in the Austin area? Legally, of course. I just moved here from Louisiana and miss catching snakes. My brother and I used to catch speckled kings, Texas rats, water snakes, racers, etc. I'm really into milks these days and wondering about looking around here. My place is on 4 wooded acres and I haven't seen a snake yet! I sure hope they start coming out this spring. According to the field guides I have, the two subspecies of milks we have here are Annulata and Amaura. Anyone see these around here? Care to share any secret spots or maybe have a tagalong? I don't want to have to drive all the way back to Louisiana every time I want to look for snakes. ----- ---
