They usually feel more secure if their hide box is strong enough and heavy enough to resist pressure from their bodies (and in your snake's case, he's pushing up against it and it's moving). One of my big girls didn't like how big her hide box was (too roomy I guess) so she always squeezes underneath the bottom of the box where it will weigh down on her. She loves it, but the male I put in with her this year hated it because he couldn't rub along her back. But he managed anyway and now the girl is in her POS [ Hide Replies ]
