Posted by: DaviDC. at Sun Mar 2 10:35:41 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by DaviDC. ] This is a 2 year old CB Russian that was about half the size of her clutch mates & incubated almost twice as long before hatching. Last year she (?) hibernated 4 weeks in the refrigerator & came out feisty & strong. Last fall she burrowed down on her own in the outdoor pen & I couldn't find her. I mulched the area where I thought she was with leaves then cover it all with a tarp. This morning I decided to look for her again, found her burrow, & dug her out. She hissed like crazy when disturbed so we'll see how she does once warmed up. [ Hide Replies ]
