I think you misread what i said. I said that the animals we CAN'T pick up and hold are not pets to ME. By definition, they are still pets, and you are trying to bend brick. You cannot CHANGE the definition of a word, just because you think the word should mean something else. The definition is the definition. If we separate reptiles from the pet category, people will take them as less important than they actually are. Sure, breeders, and shop owners shouldn't call them pets, because they are not there for amusement or companionship, they are there to make money (for the most part). Those of us out there that keep the animal just for the sake of keeping it, just to love it, and take care of it, THOSE are the people who's reptiles are pets. That is pretty much all i am trying to say. If we stop calling them pets, people will think of them as less than animals as well, thats the way it works with the general public, they assume too much. ----- -Jacob
