dude in England says they live 4 years..
I bought a pair that was 4 and 5 years old....
female was 4, laid a couple times and died real fast.....like the week I bought her while she was laying duds.....
male lived a little over a year......had a new girlfriend......didn't make any good eggs and he died also..
the female that was 2..laid almost every 30 days for 8 clutches last year......none were any good.....she never lost weight or an intrest in food......she is now at another home and eats but is alone for awhile....she has a new male waiting for her soon..
......I won't buy any more tri hogs ....

.this is all very limited info, but they didn't live long ......maybe something to it....
.....oh...and I couldn't make her stop laying as to rest her......she just laid no matter what temps I had her at......
