You have to cut off their food to get them to stop laying. Simply dropping temps will not work. They are great animals and very easy to maintain, just require a little more control and observation when it comes to breeding.
I have a female that is 5 years old. Very healthy and strong. She is coming off of a years break. If you do not limit their laying, they will "lay" themselves to death. There is the center of the issue....controling the amount of clutches they lay. It can be done, just takes effort on your part.
They also seem to be more sensitive to RI's than other hogs. ----- Jenea
