That is what i tried to do. I went right before the cut off time in the evening so they would not have to be in transit that long and paid for next day shipping too but it doesn't work with the post office. I have not had a problem doing it that way with UPS
I can kind of do things to help the animal if the package gets rough treatment. Packing, reinforcing, oversizing, but delays and losing track of it I can do nothing about and it sure is frustrating.
