They are great looking snakes. There is a load of variation in this morph with a range of hypo-melanism. Some are a bit pale while others are almost whitewashed. They seem to have a great deal of variation in the pattern as well. I have hatched some that are almost patternless others that are speckled.



The one I posted is either the father or an older brother to yours. The morp showed up in our collection in 2000 as a result of breeding a normal (unknown het) to her wild caught unknown het father. I rotated two males in that year...the unknown het father and a normal brother so I did not know which male was the carrier, and prior to them hatching we had no idea that the gene was present. I bred her with her normal brother the next year and the trait did not show up...50/50 chance and I lost the coin toss. It is a fairly simple recesive trait tied to a gene that can produce pattern anomolies as well. We did get it isolated as a result of that normal male breeding and have been working with them ever since. I tend not to work with many morphs but they are locality pure and when the snake gods grace you with a gift like that what else can you do but embrace it!
