I have a 7 year old male leopard that is not eating. Husbandry is not the issue because I've raised him from a hatchling, there's a heated enclosure etc. Also the 10 year old female that I have is fine.
A few days ago I noticed the tortoise not going back into the enclosure at night. When I inspected it he looked weak, would barely open his eyes, and his eyes and ears looked sunken in. I thought maybe he was dehydrated so I gave him water and he drank for 10 minutes straight. Then I gave him a good soaking. Nothing solid came out.
I've given him soakings daily for the last 2 days and he doesn't seem to be getting better. Doesn't seem like dehydration is the issue. Also I can't see that he touches the food at all.
The vet is my next step, I just have to find a good tortoise vet in South Orange County California ----- 0.1 Rubber Boa
1.1 Leopard tortoises
0.1 Pembroke Welsh Corgi
