There are several different types of gophers with distinctive patterning and color, but when it comes to the difference between a Sonoran and a bullsnake, the lines are blurry.
To be very general, bulls tend to be darker-blotched, while Sonorans have redder blotches.
However, in amels, the differences are usually clearer, the Sonorans being much redder, with paler ground color, while Bulls usually look very yellow in ground and orange blotched.
