I think part of the problem is the confusion between the "cliffordi" and "atriceps" subspecies (assuming they are still considered subspecies). I think if more people saw the larger and more colorful "atriceps" in person they would be very popular.

I have kept both and found them very easy to keep. Unfortunately I only had males of one form and females of the other so I never attempted to breed them. I understand from some contacts of mine that they are very easy to breed.
