It's called DSL, or **** Small Linux, and i don't think it's even over a megabyte in size. Most of the distributions out there are free, and you could probably find one that's packaged to look like windows xp, or anything. If you get DSL and put it on a cd, or flash drive, you wont have to uninstall your OS, and it should be simple to get working. Even if you run it off your hard drive (dont hold me to this) you shouldn't have to uninstall your OS, and i don't think you will lose any data. It's a bit more complicated than just getting a different program, like the other users suggested, but if you have your heart set on this one program, it would be worth it. It shouldn't be too complicated, if you get a nice distribution. A lot of the packages are free, if you download them. Before you install it to your hard drive (you wont have to do this if you put it on a cd, or flash drive) do some research and make sure that it won't erase data, or overwrite your OS. | ||
