Posted by: MadAxeMan at Wed Mar 26 22:18:37 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by MadAxeMan ] I used to use termites for baby brookesia ebenaui which are a challenge to feed to begin with.Ironically for the vast number of insects found in Florida there is not a huge diversity of insects particularly ones useful for feeders there are not a lot of leaf hoppers and such so termites did come into play for this out of neccessity. Feeding termites is a pain and there is the risk of them escaping in your house there is something about termites without a queen that either one of them becomes one or they produce young anyway. I can't really remember for sure but it's not something you want to chance with out knowing for sure. Spring is on it's way or here depending on where you live. Try aphids or leaf hoppers or baby grasshoppers in addition to what has been mentioned already. [ Hide Replies ]
