EVENING POST (Swansea, UK) 21 March 08 Snake Decapitation Hearing on Hold
A Swansea man accused of decapitating a boa constrictor while high on drink and drugs has had his case adjourned until next month.
James Lloyd Evans-Bull, aged 23, of Heol Calvin, Ravenhill, failed to turn up to court for a first hearing of his case yesterday.
Evans-Bull allegedly cut off the snake's head with a kitchen knife while high on cocaine and vodka.
Swansea Magistrates' Court heard that efforts to contact him by mobile phone in time for the afternoon hearing had proved unsuccessful.
They adjourned the case until April 9 for a renewed first hearing.
