I couldn't find an agama forum, so I'm posting here...

It looks like I'm going to be adopting a female painted agama in about two weeks, but I've found next to no information about them online. I've found conflicting opinions about their adult size (13" to 30" and the most helpful information has been to keep the bottom of their sand moist and the top dry. And that's it. I'd really like to adopt the agama, but I'm not going to if I can't keep it any better than its current owner is.

If any of you keep this species or a similar one, would you mind giving me some basics so I have somewhere to start? =)

Thanks!
