Also using the term Leucistic is WRONG..confusing and not an accurate depiction of what this gene is and how it works.
KNOWN luecism as in Texas rat snakes is a simple recessive trait.
Regardless of what the phenotype appears to show outwardly.
All Black eyes white snakes should not be termed as luecism because it is too easily confused with other known recessive traits in this hobby. Better to coin your own unique name as to not confuse people such as myself.
I am still confused by the ball pythons some breeder's call Black Eyed Leucistic.
When bred together do "ALL" the neonates display the phenotypic white ?
I have had yet to see a breeder answer my simple question. I wish someone would !!!
I do not think the lucy ball genes are the same stuff going on with these retics neither. ----- =========================================================
