I obtained an 7' or so albino het laby burmese female about 2 months ago from a friend of mine. He was getting out of snakes and previously had her for a year. She was always a fine eater and did well, and then disaster struck. He lives out in the country, and when a big ice storm struck, all of his power went out for close to 6 hours. All of his snakes were exposed to cold temperatures for quite some time and he lost several snakes. This burm was one of thew few survivors. That was at least 4 months ago, and this snake has only eaten one meal since. She emerged from the cold spell with no apparent health problems, such as respiratory ailments. She has killed two rats and eaten one about 2 months after thie incident, however she has no eaten or killed anything since I got her. She's in a huge cage with two other burms of equal size that are eating and doing what burms do. She seems to be maintaining her weight overall, however I'm obviously concerned. I have tried live rats, both big and small, mice, and even prekilled rats with a little bit of chicken broth on the fur. She drinks and behaves normally, otherwise. Does anyone have any input or info on what I can do? Anyone who owns a burm knows that eating is somethng they accel at. Anyway, thanks in advance...
Matt
