That's pretty small. You'll need a container with tall enough sides that the crix tend to stay in it (not all will, but most won't jump out if they aren't spooked). To help him reach the crix, attach a twig so it goes down into the container but doesn't touch the bottom. He can climb as close to the feeders as he needs to.
