No, I'm not 100% convinced it's leucistic, or calico. But then again, as I said before, I'm not up to par on genetics, morphs. In all my years as a reptile keeper I was just never interested enough in morphs because I've always liked "normal" patterns & colors more.

I've been reading up on some variations lately, including leucism & calico, and based on what I've read I wouldn't call this particular Burmese python a leucistic or a calico. I think it has too much pigmentation to be considered leucistic and also lacks a pattern with white splotches to be considered a calico.

The snake is still young so hopefully time will tell. From what I've read some young calico can have freckles that later develope (sort of merge) into smudges, but I think there's too many freckles for it to wind up meeting typical calico standards.

For the moment I suppose it's whatever someone wants to call it, in the eye of the beholder. If I had to come down on side or another, leucistic or calico, I'd have to call it a calico. But I'm not an expert, either.
