I would keep him in a fairly sanitary environment while he heals- newspaper substrate, frequent cleaning, etc. A vet should advise about meds and he may want to prescibe antibiotics. He should heal up fine- he'll just have some ugly scarring. Be sure to maintain the proper temp. gradient.
