If the lights have a clear center, ditch them.

They give a direct light which makes a small yet very, very hot spot.

Get your temp gun out and check the temps.

I don't have my pictures of lights anymore, but the best way I can describe them is they have a cloudy look.

Maybe someone else has a good picture.
