They read the comments and ponder. When that is done, they decide if this stops or moves forward to the possible listing phase. That phase again goes up for public comment. They ponder a little more and then make a final decision. Generally it's taken years (3 or more) to get an animal listed. However a recent invasive fish listing took only a few months. Most of the comments didn't really supply what they requested...data to understand the potential of the invasive problem. But I suppose a hearty disapproval counts for something. | ||
