the main difference is that with a mali you'll need a minimum cage size of 4' x 2', with an egyptian you'll probably need something at minimum 8' x 4', or even larger since they get huge. Please make sure you will be able to provide this size of enclosure, enough lighting and heat to get proper temp gradients (including a very increased monthly power bill), plus the larger amount of food that they eat, before even considering getting one.
