It's best to have someone hold the snake, pinned down to the floor, table, etc, to limit movement during penetration with the syringe.

I've only given Baytril injections and couldn't tell you for sure if other meds are administered the same way, but here's the way my Vet instructed me to give Baytril injections:

Baytril Injections - To be administered within aproximately the front 1/3 of the body, but not in the neck, and just off to one side or the other of the spine. Alternate sides of the spine and placement within the length of the body between shots.

For a 7ft snake that would mean to give injections between 1 1/2 from the head to about 3 - 3 1/2ft down towards the tail. Alternate injection locations so that you don't inject in the same place each time.

Be sure to keep plenty of water available and maintain slightly higher than normal temps & high humidity or else you'll be wasting your time giving it the antibiotic injections.
