I too have started a garden of Zucchini, squash, nastursiums and pansies. The zuchinni and squash I started as seeds in starter trays, the pansies I bought already started and the Nastursiums I am growing from seeds. I am also growing bell peppers and tomatoes (for hubby) that I started from seeds.
I know that when I need to get plants started I place the start in a glass of water in the window sill until roots are showing then I plant them.
The person you should really ask is Doublemom, she is a Master Gardener and I'm sure would have some great advice on how to get plant starts to root and grow.
