I was out of town this weekend so of course something had to go wrong. I got a call on Saturday from my mom saying that my male ackie hadn't been seen all day and he always comes out to be fed so that worried me, then she told me that the cage top had somehow been moved (probably by one of the stupid cats) leaving a 1" gap at one end. There wasn't alot i could do until i got back so i told her to set up a heat lamp in the room where the enclosure is to see if he would be drawn out by the heat, this apparently didn't work and when i got home sunday night i turned the house upside down looking for him but didn't find him. (By the way I did verify that he was not in the cage) My biggest concern is the cats getting him although i wonder if they would be brave enough to mess with an angry 17" ackie and i also doubt they would have eaten him even if they had killed him since the mice they've caught in the past always end up mumified under the fridge, so i still have hope that he is alive somewhere in the house. Does anybody have any suggestions on finding him? I love him and he and my female are bonded and i'm afraid introducing a new male to her would not go over well.
