RE: what size, type of rodent to feed

I have 2 BPs.. One gets F/T rats because she'll take them. The other fellow won't eat anything that isn't alive, & since I'm a paranoid mom I won't give him anything that can do damage to him. Even if an adult mouse tries to bite (& I'm not quick enough to put a ruler in its mouth) it has yet to break skin. Therefore, I feed him half a dozen or so adult mice at a sitting. Pain in the neck but he takes them readily & quickly without a complaint. Growing, shedding, pooping like clockwork. If I had my way he'd get rats, but I won't sacrifice his safety.. & I don't have any plans to breed either.
