Oh, the difference is dramatic, IMO. I won't use anything but the MVBs, and I have very healthy, active lizards. I did use a tube at one point, but the rehab dragon that I had under it was only making minor progress. After I put the megaray over her, her color brightened immediately and she started making noticeable progress.The guy who created them did so for rehab purposes, and they have been tested around the world. He has one bulb that still tests in the adequate range, which would be fine for a healthy animal, and it is three years old! I don't recommend keeping one that long unless you have a UVB meter, but you can trust them for 18 months or better.



The MVBs are very bright whereas the florescents aren't and need to be used with additional light for high UVB reptiles, and I have read that they allow the animal to see better. They also produce heat, so you get the basking and UVB all in the same place, which is much more natural.



Gosh, sorry! I sound like a MVB groupy! LOL! Well, I am.
