actually I think it sounds like a nice set up.

BUT..if you are palnning to get a neonate then I would start iy out in a much smaller enclosure.

Too large of an enclosure for a small snake can sometimes stress them out leading to a porr feeding response.

If you are getting a neonate then something like a 6 quart sterilite container will do well as a starter enclosure. They do better with nice tight quarters when younger. When it gets a little older and more active then you can switch it over to the larger enclosure.

And save the 20 gallon for the next snake you get...because they are addictive and you will end up with another one.....lol
