...because I read that certain isolates from "blister disease" are unproven to be causal or commensal and theoretically it is possible to be spread to the permeable egg as it passes through the cloaca at oviposition. I have also read many organisms lay dormant until the individual becomes immunosuppressed then opportunistically become pathogenic. So I wonder, if any offspring from an affected or once affected animal has contracted such an illness after having no other direct contact, with no other logical explanation evident.
