Posted by: agirlnamedrita at Fri May 9 23:56:53 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by agirlnamedrita ] We have a redtail who's last shed skin measured 101 inches...it is VERY thick and quite heavy...we were told it was a peruvian female...but honestly the guy we got it from knows nothing about snakes really and wasn't the original owner...we tried to probe the snake but it clentched it's cloaca up tighter than fort knox...even pulled the flap inward...nothing was getting into it...lol...is there a way to relax it so we can probe it and find out for sure if it is in fact female?
