Female will usually go off feed around 30 days prior to ovulating. Once ovulation occurs, they are gravid. Egg deposition usually occurs around 35-50 days after ovulation and 15-28 days after pre-lay shed. Most females will also take on a blueish color and the head will appear flattened at the lobes. If given a nest box to hide in, males and females will take refuge. It's just a place for them to hide. Good luck. [ Hide Replies ]
