so i just got my saharan uro's a little over a week ago and i go to shut the lights off tonight and their is 1 egg in the cage. it was laid under the heat light in the basking area so it very well could of been good but the egg was not their before i went to bed at noon. so the egg potentially was their for up too 9 hours so it was hard and yellow hence me thinking it was a dud from the get go.

so i cant feel any eggs in her and she still looks a little tubby in the belly but not what i would expect her to look like if she was gravid.

so my question is can i get just regular potting soil to add to a nest box for her or does it need the play sand as well?

also how long should i wait before i remove the box if she doesnt have anymore eggs in her, 2 weeks or 3 or 4. im pretty new to uros so any advice is golden.

i have an incubator set up for my snakes already and no eggs in it yet so i can get another incubator for the snakes and up the temp in the one thats set up now.

man i was not expecting this, not this soon at least maybe in a year or two.
