That is a really good question.
I am sure that given proper food and housing, and provided that the uro is healthy, it should begin to grow.
Generally speaking, a yearling Egyptian uro will be close to 12".
Growth rates can be reduced by many factors including food, housing, and aggression from cagemates.
It would be great to see a picture of the uro to see if there are anything the forum would determine about the health of the uro.
Having had two clutches of eggs hatch, i have seen tremendous differences from individuals in the same clutch. Differences of size, coloration, markings, temperament, food preference, etc...
Lots of variations for sure!
Good luck.

>>I just adopted a 4 year old uromastyx that is only 9 inches long. I am not certain how the original owner too car of him. From everything that I have been reading it appears that he should be much larger. He appears to be very healthy. Will he continue to grow if his diet and conditions are correct?
