...The Haitian Boa is the same Genus as the Rainbow Boas. Haitian Boas have been imported in fair numbers over the last 30 years. They have an undeserved reputation for being nasty so many people avoid them. The other Island Boas of the same species as the Haitian Boa have been imported in very small numbers and are highly sought by collectors. We have a few people who occasionally make posts about them over on the kingsnake.com Rainbow Boa forum. Have a look and join in if you want.

>>Awesome, thanks!

>>I was 99% sure that I had ID'd her correctly, but wanted a second opinion.

>>So far she is doing great, seems very docile, and eats really well. I measured her last night at 38 inches...not sure of her age yet. She was a "my friend doesn't have time for his snake..it could be some kind of boa or python" case, so I really had no idea what was coming.

>>

>>It seems that not many people keep these from the research that Ive done, but I have no idea why....she is a beautiful sweetheart! :D
