After 108 days POS & 124 days from ovulation, our female Hog Island Boa delivered a great looking litter of Hypo Hogs last night.
She had been bred to a male genetic striped poss super salmon who is also 66% poss het for Blood. He is 50% CA and has great colour!
Male

Female

The results of the litter were 7 Hypo Hogs and 8 Normal/Hog crosses, plus 1 still born & 2 slugs. Unfortunately this proves the male not to be a super, however it is possible that some of these babies may eventually prove to be het for Blood!
Some other interesting observations from this litter were that most of the hypos but none of the normals seem to have inherited the sires genetic tail stripe (which originated from Blood Boa stripes). Also, the sire has a half pink tongue & most of the hypos but none of the normals seem to have inherited this too!

Hypo Hogs, looks like a few of these have inherited the sires colour!

You can just about see the pink tongue on this one.

Not forgetting the normal/Hog crosses.......

I can't wait see how their colours develop and look forward to producing Sunsets!
Thanks
Marc
