Posted by: mrslate at Wed May 14 21:25:54 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by mrslate ] I got a juvenile mali last year around 7inches and very yellow I swore it was male. Now it is around 11inches maybe and 285grams or so. It is even more yellow now but no signs of black, no sign of ventral pattern. Not a very wide head or tail. Some protuberance of the pores, can't really make any determination on the hemipenes. I am thinking maybe it is a high yellow female? I have seen much smaller mali's showing black.GENERALLY SPEAKING: At what point(length, weight, age)can I assume it is MOST LIKELY female if no black coloring is emerging? Funny thing is I have another juvenile I thought was female and I think it could be male. [ Hide Replies ]
