Not really. The internet IS free. If you wanna have a website with no rules, so be. Go make it. I am sure you'll have traffic from some very fine individuals.
This website is owned by a corporation that has rules. The very same as you make the rules for your website or your living room for that matter. You control what you own, Onlinehobbyist.com Inc. controls and makes the rules that govern this website. If someone calls you a vile name in your living room in front of your wife you would be well within your rights (and really should) kick that @ss out of your home.
Until you understand this parallel you will never understand from where the rules come from.
I think it SHOULD be controlled by it's owners and NOT be another entity as this other entity is THE GOVERNMENT and they seem to screw up everything they touch. If you want to have the wild west on your own website here is a link to get you started.
