...lacks femoral pores, however, callous glands are located anteror to the cloaca...species displays pronounced sexual dimorphism.The ground color of the body is olive grey to green with small brown markings. Males have a yellowish red to green dorsum with small,scattered black spots. The venter is yellowish with blue grey marbling in area of the chest and throat. The tail is yellow green or red in color. Females are grey brown dorsally with a red shimer and small black spots. The venter is immaculate white.
also from Wilms book:"lives in rocky stony...plateaus of volcanic origin. Both plant and insect matter are consumed"
"the only reference to keeping U.princeps in captivity is by Strejcek(1995)...primarily herbivorous...occasionally accepted insects...courtship and mating observed in June...latter half of June female visibly gravid.Egg laying followed first week of July. Mating again observed in July and second clutch was produced in the middle of August."
