i use basic bird seed and he loves it. honestly if your really busy one day and miss to feed them they learn that the bedding is food. but dont get me wrong i feed my uros lots of veggies, its just an added bonus. you just have to clean it more because they dirty it quickly because of the high amounts of fiber in the seend they stay very regulated little animals.
