Hi,
We usually just wipe up the feces with a damp paper towel and disinfect the enclosure once a week. It isn't necessary to keep everything constantly sterile, otherwise how will your lizard build antibodies for its immune system?
However, if the lizard makes a really huge mess, pure peroxide works really well for quick disinfecting and you don't have to rinse, as it doesn't leave a residue. It also works wonders for eliminating odors.
Natural Chemistry also makes a product called "Healthy Habitat" that apparently works really well and is completely non-toxic (it can even be used while the animal is still in its enclosure), you can visit their web site at www.naturalchemistry.com.
Hope this helps!
Julie
