Hi!
What you're describing is common with african monitors, too. When their temperatures drop they'll usually head for cover and wait for better conditions.

Get the temps and humidity to where it should be and be sure it has a proper basking spot temperature, too. It may take a few days or even a week of proper temps for it to begin it's regular feeding and basking. You'd be surprised how long a healthy lizard can go without eating, but make sure it stays hydrated by either soaking or drinking.

A lot of reptiles will do basically the same thing when their conditions aren't right. Just get the conditions right and offer it some food every now & then until it begins to get back to it's normal routine.
